Generally speaking, what we call a mobile phone screen includes the external screen, touch layer, and display panel. These are collectively called the screen.
A mobile phone screen can be subdivided into five layers of technology.
The first layer is the cover glass, which protects the internal structure of the phone. Occasionally, the phone falls to the ground and the screen is shattered. However, it can continue to be used and the content of the phone display can be seen. This shows that the high plate glass on the surface is broken, which does not affect normal use.
The second layer is the touch screen. The function of this layer is to detect touch operations. Generally speaking, if the touch does not work, there is a problem with this layer.
The third layer is the LCD display, which has an image display function. After dropping the phone on the ground, the LCD screen turns black and does not light up, obviously, this layer is broken.
The fourth layer is the backlight. This layer contains many thin film transistors, which are used to illuminate the LCD screen.
The last but not least layer is the backplane, which is usually made of metal and plays a protective role on the screen.
